ROBERT KONIECZNY
An architect, graduate of Architecture at Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. In 1996 he received the certificate of New Jersey Institute of Technology. A leader and a founder of KWK Promes architecture studio established in 1999.
- In 2016 project - National Museum – Dialogue Centre Przełomy in Szczecin was found World Building of the Year 2016
in the international competition World Architecture Festival.
- Also in 2016 the same project was announced to be The Best Public Space in Europe by Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona in the competition European Prize for Urban Public Space.
- The latest award for architect is the title of the Best New Private House in worldwide competition Wallpaper Design Awards 2017 for the Konieczny's Ark.
- Konieczny was ten times nominee of the European Award of Mies van der Rohe Foundation (for Aatrial House, OUTrial House, Komoda House, Broken House, Safe House, Auto-Family House, Living-Garden House in Katowice and Living-Garden House in Izbica, Konieczny's Ark and Museum Dialogue Centre Przełomy in Szczecin).
- He is a holder of the award for the House of the Year 2006, winning with the Aatrial House as the best housing project in a competition organized by World Architecture News.
- In 2011 Robert Konieczny was awarded by the Minister of Culture in Poland for his outstanding achievements in the field of architecture as a second architect ever gaining this kind of prize.
